Is vibecoder.date free?

Yes, vibecoder.date is free to use. Swiping, matching, and chatting are all free. Optional paid features like profile boosts and AI-generated pickup lines are available via crypto payments.

What code editors are supported?

vibecoder.date works with VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any editor that supports VS Code extensions. If it runs VS Code extensions, it runs vibecoder.date.

Is my data private?

Yes. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, photos have EXIF data stripped automatically, and we don't sell your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings.

How do I install the VS Code extension?

Download the .vsix file from the homepage, then in VS Code go to Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X) > click the three-dot menu > 'Install from VSIX'. Select the downloaded file and you're in. Sign in with GitHub, Discord, or email to get started.

Can I use the web app instead?

Yes! If you don't want to install the extension, you can use the web app at vibecoder.date/app. Same features, just in your browser.

How does matching work?

Classic swipe mechanics. Swipe right if you're interested, left if not. When both people swipe right, it's a match and you can start chatting. Your messages are encrypted end-to-end.

What are Boosts?

Boosts put your profile at the top of the stack for other users, increasing your visibility. They're optional paid features available via crypto payment.
